Boulogne-Billancourt
Just outside Paris, coiled in a curve of the Seine River, Boulogne-Billancourt is a city with a rich historical heritage, as well as a promising future.
The city's expansion is due to the 19th century industrialisation that reflected itself in the arrival of the Renault factories on the Seguin Island and some of the first aviation companies.
But it's during the 30's that Boulogne knew its real "golden age". It then became the centre of an intense cultural activity and a reference for numerous artists like Marc Chagall, Juan Gris, Paul Landowski...
These times still make the city's renown, partly because of its 30's Museum, but also for its important architectural heritage.
Boulogne does not content itself with it's glorious past: innovative, it constitutes one of the principal economic poles of the region of Paris, and now welcomes numerous companies of the tertiary sector.
Dynamic, Boulogne offers to its inhabitants an exceptional living environment and a rich cultural life : as proof, the city's theatres, its cinemas, its art galleries, its conservatory and schools of music, its Landowski area as well as its vast multimedia library... Without forgetting its gardens, which are privileged relaxation areas.
Don't hesitate to come and discover the city's treasurer that charmed the great, from Edith Piaf to Marcel Carné...
